Beach Yoga

Join me for a grounding vinyasa yoga practice by the sea. We’ll move through a mindful flow that connects breath, body, and the natural rhythm of the ocean—stretching, releasing tension, and tuning in to the moment. Variations are offered to make the postures accessible.

All levels welcome. (Ages 18 and up)

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time.

What to bring: beach towel + water (maybe extra layers as the weather can shift quickly)

This address brings you to a parking lot at Asbury Park dog/surf beach. (The parking lot is up a little incline and behind some greens, so not totally visible from the road.) You can walk onto the dog beach and then go left (north) and meet us on loch arbour beach.

6-Class Series

(4 person max)

Are you ready to cultivate your own mindfulness/meditation practice that can help calm the mind, reduce stress, and enhance presence in everyday life? This 6-Week Series is designed for both total beginners and those who want to establish or reestablish a personal practice. The small-group setting will offer an inviting and personal atmosphere.

What You’ll Learn

  • The Benefits: Discover how regular mindfulness/meditation can enhance mental clarity, emotional resilience, neuroplasticity, and more.
  • Practical Techniques: Each week, you will learn at least one new technique. You will also explore different hand mudras, healing sounds, and silence. This will help you figure out what works best for you.
  • Overcome Myths: Debunk common myths, such as “My mind should stop thinking.”
  • Tackle Obstacles: Learn strategies to help with common obstacles.
  • Addressing your FAQs: Get answers to the most frequently asked questions.

How It Works:

  • Weekly Sessions: Each week, we’ll dive into at least one new technique, practice it, and reflect together. Speaking is always optional, but know that there will be various discussions before and after our mindfulness/meditation practice. (If you happen to miss a session, you'll be provided with clear notes/slides on what you missed.)
  • Community Connection: Having a shared goal, practicing, and even struggling together will build a sense of connection and camaraderie. Together, we will support one another and celebrate our commitment to this life-changing practice.
  • Practical Homework & Accountability: Daily, consistent practice is the “secret” and we will help hold one another accountable. You will personalize your homework with my suggestions.
  • Midweek Check-ins with Me: I will check in with you midweek to see how your practice is going, celebrate wins, and answer questions.
  • Receive Reference Materials: Receive notes on the day’s lesson as a reference for your practice and to utilize in the future. If you cannot attend a session, I will send you the information you missed.

Sunset Yoga ~ Gentle Flow for Stress Relief

In this Gentle Flow, we'll connect to our breath and body in nature, releasing tension, stretching, and calming the nervous system. All levels welcome. (ages 18 and up)

What to bring: yoga mat, a blanket or towel, water

optional: blocks

Let me know if you need to borrow a mat. (732-455-9717)

What to wear: comfortable clothing (and perhaps bug spray)

Where to go: Nomahegan Park in Cranford. If you're in the parking lot across from Union College (Springfield Ave.) walk towards the baseball field. You'll find us beyond the baseball field.

When: Please arrive early enough that your mat is set up and you're ready to begin at the start time.

You'll be notified of a cancellation due to weather at least an hour prior.

Why teach yoga to children?

Yoga helps children manage anxiety, regulate emotions, boost confidence, increase body awareness, enhance focus and patience, and increase strength and flexibility.

*20-60 minute classes for kids (K to 12th Grade)

*Private or small group

*Class will include some or all of the following components:

-Breath awareness

-Mindful Movement, Stretching, and Balancing

The atmosphere will always be positive and safe for children. Children are never forced into any postures or activities they are not comfortable with.

After filling out the 1:1 intake form which clarifies your personal goals, we'll have a free 15-30 minute consult to ensure that we're a good fit. If so, private sessions can be arranged in person or virtual.

Classes will be personalized and sequenced to meet your needs and goals. Examples of personal goals are as follows:
