Yoga / Wellness for Kids

Why teach yoga to children?

Yoga helps children manage anxiety, regulate emotions, boost confidence, increase body awareness, enhance focus and patience, and increase strength and flexibility.

*20-60 minute classes for kids (K to 12th Grade)

*Private or small group

*Class will include some or all of the following components:

-Breath awareness

-Mindful Movement, Stretching, and Balancing

-Community Connection

-Focus

-Creative Expression

-Relaxation

-Closing

The atmosphere will always be positive and safe for children. Children are never forced into any postures or activities they are not comfortable with.

Classes can be designed, depending on the needs of students.

Examples:

-Yoga for Confidence

-Yoga for Managing Stress

-Yoga for Playfulness

-Yoga for Softball

-Yoga for Hockey
